Sending' reported error (0x800CCC7D)

Hi, my emails in Outlook 2003 have suddenly stopped sending. They end up in the Outbox File. Every time I press send I receive the following message:

Task ' - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC7D) : 'Your outgoing (SMTP) server does not support SSL-secured connections. If SSL-secured connections have worked in the past, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

I am non technical and have no idea why I have received this message and more importantly what to do about it.

Try the steps given below and verify the status:

l  Open Outlook > click on ‘Tools’ > ‘E-mail Accounts’ > select ‘View or change existing email accounts’ > ‘Next’ Select the target email account and click on ‘Change’ > ‘More Settings’ > ‘Advanced’

l  Uncheck the option under ‘Outgoing Server (SMTP)’ which reads ‘This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)’

l  Click ‘Ok’ > ‘Next’ > ‘Finish’ > restart Outlook

l  Try to send emails, incase if any email is stuck in outbox, drag it to the ‘Drafts’ folder and then try to send emails.
