Difference between delivery receipts and read receipts__

What is the difference between a read receipt and a delivery receipt?
Answer
Answer
Delivery receipts are generated by the accepting server and tells you that the message was accepted and placed in the mailbox. Read receipts tell you if the person read the message (but it doesn't insinuate that the person did not read it if no receipt is returned - its just not very reliable.)
