iOS & MacOS - http 1.1 Service Unavailable

Hi,

We have a lot of iOS devices, the all get a http 1.1 Service Unavailable after the user input email and password.

If the user goes back and try again, the app skip email and password and goes to the MFA.

Today I found a workaround on a MacOs trying login to Skype for Business, again after email and password, I get the http 1.1 page, if I right click and reload, I get MFA.

After that it works, until next time user have to change password, and thy have to login again :(

I tried on technet, but no help :(

I can see others have the same problem here on the Community forum.

On Android or Windows we havn't seen the error, only on iOS and MacOS.

Kind regards,

Flemming

If the effected login office 365 for business account is a federated one, please check if the related certificate installed successfully in iOS/MacOS device.

On MacOs we saw the error when logging into S4B, we don't have that many Mac's.

But we have the problem when signing into Outlook, first time or when the user change password.

It's Office 365 for Business for our company.

We have over 1000 iOS devices in Intune.

Not sure about the certificate? Don't think there is one?

The user's devices are checked for compliancy with Company Portal app.

Here's screenshot's in Danish:

1 2
3 4

1:

User have new password, Outlook promt's for login.

2:

We deploy Auth app, so the user have to open that.

3:

User sign in with there email and password (ADFS)

4:

User get the http 1.1 error.

But if they Cancel, and Exit Auth with X-button, they are back in Outlook.

If they then try again, it skips login (ADFS) and goes to MFA, after that it works.

Hi DimZenDk,

Thanks for your reply and the information. Would you please try to clean the keychain up as the following steps show and check the results?

Close all the office applications for Mac.

Open Keychain Access by using one of the following methods: In “Spotlight Search,” type “Keychain Access” and then double-click “Keychain Access” in the search results. In the search box of “Keychain Access,” type “Exchange” "ADAL" and "Office", delete all the related items. Then type the domain of your account in the search box and delete the search results.

Close Keychain Access.

Re-launch Outlook for Mac.

If it doesn’t helps, may I know how it goes when signing into  outlook web app with the account in Mac?

Best regards,

Coldwell

Hi,

It's on many iOS devices, even brand new ones without iCloudID logged in, Company Portal deployed with DEP.

Also tried on a newly installed Mac, so it's not the Keychain that have left overs.

Web Outlook works fine, no problem there, it's only with app's we have the problem.

Kind regards,

Flemming

Hi Flemming,

Thanks for your reply. After consulting the related team, we suggest that choose one iOS/MacOS device to reset the network settings to check if the DNS resolution related issue. We’d also like to collect the iOS version and the sip address for further investigation.

In the meantime, please capture the Fiddler logs in Mac as the following article shows during the period of reproducing the issue on your Mac.
