QR code for Authenticator app

Not able to sign in into my outlook from my phone, I tried signing in with microsoft authenticator and I was able to sign in successfully. But i accidentally deleted the authenticator app and everytime I try to login in to my outlook now its sending the code to authenticator app and I am not seeing the code. it keeps asking me for a QR scan code which I dont have.

how do I get out of this circle

Abhisheik,
Did you enable backup on the authentication app?
Do you have alternate methods to log in? Click the link to Sign in another way on the authentication dialog. You can have a code emailed or sent using sms.

Do you have the account signed in and authenticated on another devices?

Hi Diane, thanks for the response, I don't think I have the authenticator app set up on any other devices and I only signed in using my work email. So that is the only email I have signed up with.

I am not getting any options to send the code to my phone via SMS or email.

Is there a way to reset the whole authenticator app ?

You can only reset it if you enabled a backup for it (it may only be available on iphones)

Click Sign in another way - what options do you have?

I have this same problem but the only options I have are the first two. So basically I need the app to get the verification code but I need the code to set up the app.

Mine is asking me to scan a qr code. I can not seem to get it figured out. Frustrated.. Help.

> make sure you have the correct device phone number entered

>click on: Set up Authenticator app

>this will generate a QR code for you to scan>follow the prompts on your authenticator app and the webpage

>this worked for me - hopefully for you as well
