Using OneNote to research, organise and write a PhD thesis

I'd love to hear views and opinions from anyone who has used OneNote to plan, organise, structure, manage, etc their PhD research. Were there any problems or limitations encountered or did OneNote do everything you needed to do?

Many thanks
