Onenote "DESKTOP APP" vs "DEFAULT APP"

Hey guys..

I had a question about the OneNote for Office365..

A few months ago I was able to get the desktop versions of OneNote.. and not the Tablet version of OneNote..

Now at 111518, when I install Office365.. I get the Tablet version and not the desktop version..

Now I have read somewhere the desktop version is also known as the 2016 version..

But I not seen a desktop 2017 version yet..

The desktop 2016 version had more variety and features than just the tablet version..

I have Office365 Home Yearly Sub..

[QUESTION] is OneNote Desktop app now a business only app? or is the desktop version still available for home users?

HiSamuel, it would seem that is the way Microsoft is going with the OneNote App, though the new App has a long way to go before it has the functionality of the Desktop Version . . . .

Hi Samuel, Microsoft has dropped support for the Desktop version of OneNote in favor of the App version for Windows 10 and that has been removed form the Office 365 download . . .

Check this link for downloading OneNote 2016, it should work with your version of Office
