OneNote 2016 We need the password to sync this notebook. (Error code: 0xE0000024) after most RECENT Windows update

So I had updated to the most recent windows update on my desktop and I started having sync issues with OneNote. The specific error was: 

"We need the password to sync this notebook. (Error code: 0xE0000024)"

I browsed around online and saw that deleting the cached user credentials was a possible solution. Tried it and it still wasn't working. I had originally made the changes on my laptop, and my laptop was syncing fine. But, then I saw that someone said to make sure to update to the most recent Windows update to solve the solution and I updated on my laptop. Immediately after installing the update on my laptop, it started giving me the error message when I tried to sync on my laptop. 

I'm guessing something in the new Windows update broke OneNote sync? Anyone else having similar issues after the update or is it just me?



The outage has been resolved.  Let me know if you still get this error message.
