OneDrive for Business stuck on "processing changes"

In the Windows 10 File Explorer, OneDrive for Business continually shows the syncing icon. Looking in the system tray, my OneDrive for Business sync client shows "Processing Changes" all the time.

I tried syncing from the OneDrive section of the Office 365 portal, but nothing really happened.

Hi Matt,

To troubleshoot this issue, please try the following steps:

1.Check the files and folders from the local synced folder(OneDrive-contoso)  and the OneDrive for Business library (cloud)in the browser to see what files remain in the cloud. If you find them , you may download them to your local PC and delete them from your OneDrive for Business library(cloud). After the OneDrive for Business library is synced successfully, upload the files again to check the outcome.

2.Change location to sync the OneDrive for Business library. To do that:

Right-click the blue OneDrive cloud icon in the notification area, at the far right of the taskbar.>Click Settings, and then click Unlink this PC under Account.>Follow the steps in the Welcome to OneDrive wizard to set up OneDrive.>Change location to sync the OneDrive for Business library to see the outcome.

 

3.Reset the new OneDrive sync client to see the outcome. To do that:

Press the Windows key The Windows key  + R.>In the Run window, enter: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset>Click OK>Make sure the OneDrive icon in the notification area of the taskbar disappears and then re-appears after a minute or two. Heres how to check: Look for the OneDrive cloud icon in the notification area, at the far right of the taskbar.>If the OneDrive icon doesnt re-appear after a few minutes, open the Run window again and enter:%localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe
