ONE DRIVE CAN'T BE RUN USING FULL ADMINSTRATOR RIGHTS. PLEASE RESTART ONE DRIVE WITHOUT ADMINSTRATOR RIGHTS

I have tried to do what it said about the command prompt and it does not say successful? What do I try next?

I would suggest you try the following steps to disable administrator account and check if you still face this issue:

1.       Make sure you are logged on as your regular user account on your computer.

2.      Run command prompt as an administrator, and type the following command.

         net user administrator /active:no

3.      You will get a message command completed successfully as shows in the picture below.

         

 

If it helps, then you may enable the admin rights by replacing the command by net user administrator /active:yes and then restart the computer.

 

The steps are suggested due to the error regarding administrative rights and is a workaround. If it helps, then you may enable Administrative rights as suggested and any issues should not occur with One Drive after that.

 

Feel free to post back with the following information if the problem persists:

  1. Does the error happen previously? If so, did you make any changes to your OneDrive settings and your computer prior to this issue?
  2. Does the error prompts immediately after you click OneDrive? Please share with us the steps you take before the error appears.
  3. Which version of operating system are you using? Windows 10, Windows 8, or else?
  4. Where did you download and install OneDrive?
  5. Your OneDrive version, you can check it in the version column of  OneDrive by going to Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Features.
