Info about people and groups—at a glance

Hello Insiders!

My name is Lionel Robinson, and I’m a Program Manager on the Office People team. In the coming weeks, we’ll be rolling out the new people and groups card for desktop Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Skype for Business to Insiders. The card is part of an Office 365-wide effort to give you a simple and coherent experience in every Office app, on any device.

Hovering over a contact’s name will open the card, which you can expand to show the information pictured above. With its single-column design, the card is easy to read and offers a quick peek at each section, with additional contact details and organizational charts a single step away. You must be on Insider Fast Version 1708 (Build 8326.1000) or later to be included in this rollout.

Send us feedback!

If you have any feedback about the card and its contents, just reply in the comments for this post. If you’re using an app, you can also click File > Feedback.

Thanks,

The Office People and Outlook teams

Love the new card design but it doesn't look like there's any way to see the user's current location? We use the live location in Skype for Business based on the user's network location but the new cards don't display this, they just show the static Office property instead :(
