Can't access admin portal for office 365

Hi

I don't have the admin portal listed as one of the apps after I log in and hit the app launcher in the top left. and am not sure how to either get it back, or where to access it. 

2 things

1 - how do I prove I am the admin? I understand the admin tile only appears to admins.

2 - is there another place I can access it from? I understand there are some changes going on and maybe I am missing something new.

Hi Sandy,

If you are a global admin, you can see the Admin icon in the App launcher. If you are a user, you can’t see it. So you are right. It is the fastest way to check if you are a global admin.

To upload a screenshot, click Use rich formatting and then click Edit/Insert Media.

i believe i should be the global admin. i have set up this account and used the admin feature to set up users and accounts and various things  in the past. i now need to reset a user's password and am unable to get to the admin panel.

this is the screen i see when i hit the app launcher.

according to the link you posted, i should have a tile marked 'admin'

i appreciate any ideas\suggestions

from your description, it seems that there is no admin tile in your app launcher. could you check the place the following screenshot showed and give us a screenshot like it?

 

if you also can’t see the admin tile there, it may be resulted from the scenario below.
if there are several global admins in your organization, some other global admins may change your role.

so to clarify the situation, i’ve sent you a private message to collect your account for our checking.
