MS Teams - microphone not working

Hi everyone,

I've been having issues with the MS Teams desktop app since I updated to Mac Mojave last November. When in a call, my camera and speakers work, but my microphone doesn't work (either the internal Mac or any external headset).

I'm using Mac Mojave 10.14 and MS Teams 1.1.00.31953 (updated on 10/12/2018).

Any other communication platform (Skype, WebEx, etc) work.

Hello Carlos,

If you are encountering microphone not working issue when using Teams on your Mac, please kindly try the following:

1. Open System Preferences.

2. Click on Security & Privacy> Select the Privacy tab.

3. Select Microphone on the left bar and verify the Microsoft Teams has permissions:

If it was already enabled, you can try unchecking it and reboot your Mac, then enable it to see if it can help.

If the problem persists, I would suggest you reinstall Teams and check the results. Besides, may I know if this problem happens to all callings and meetings in Teams?

Note: Please back up your data before installing to prevent data loss.
