How to change the date format for the new Microsoft Lists

Hello Community, 

I want to be able to change the default date format (away from the US mm/dd/yyyy format to UK format dd/mm/yyyy for the new Microsoft Lists Office 365 app. All of the rest of our Office 365 apps are working properly and following the default user data format setup through the My Office Profile . Has anyone got any ideas, I would like to avoid hacking the page with some calculated field and instead inherit the proper user setting from the Office tenant if possible.

Hi Paul.A.Miller,

Thank you for your post and requirement.

As the data for Microsoft lists is stored in OneDrive. So, the date setting in Microsoft lists app inherits from the OneDrive for business site via go to click on OneDrive settings> More settings>under Regional settings. See image below for your reference:
