Simultaneous Logins with a Office 365 User account?

Trying to figure out if this will work, because trying it initially was unsuccessful, but I've only found information that it should work, so I am, needless to say, confused.

At the company where I work, we have an Office 365 Business account. One of the "users" with a valid license is a generic user that we were hoping to set up on some communal computers we have, but signing one in gives "another account from the same organization is already signed in" for the other.

Is there really no way to do simultaneous logins? It seems very silly to have to buy two separate licenses for some generic machines that sometimes have people trying to use them at the same time.

I know Office 365 Home was able to do this, did they really remove such a useful utility from the Business edition?

Answer

Hi Alyssa,

Do you want to sign in to Office 365 portal or the Office apps from some communal computers with your Office 365 user ID and password?

if it’s the latter, please first try the workaround in this KB:

and let us know any updates. We are here to help you.

Thanks,

April
