Random user in unlicenced users

Hi

I have a random user in unlicensed users with a username like:

USERNAME@hotmail#EXE#@MY DOMAIN NAME

This has happened on 3 different Office 365 accounts all with 3 different usernames added.

Have they all been hacked?

Hi ict.springmead.herts.sch.uk,

This is the new Guest Platform about the external user's profile for Office 365 subscribed users.

New external user UPN format:
For example: *** Email address is removed for privacy *** invites *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
When user2 accepts the invitation, a new user is created in Contoso's Microsoft Online Directory Service with the UPN:
user2_outlook.com#EXT#@Contoso.onmicrosoft.com

When we share a file or site with an external user and this external user receive the invitation email to access the file successfully, the external user will first exist in the Users section in Office 365 admin center. The user profile of the external user existed in Office 365 admin center will sync to SharePoint Online after a period of time. So this change is more convenient when removing external users and we just delete them from Office 365 admin center by clicking "Delete".

For the time being, both old style and new external users will exist in Office 365. New invitations will generate new users and old guest accounts can still log in. Once the new system is stable, all old guest accounts will be migrated to the new platform/UPN format.

Thanks,
Frank
