Hide distribution group from GAL with Dirsync; no Exchange server

I am looking for a way to hide a distribution group from the GAL.

This group is synced with AD Connect, so It must be done in AD.

There is no exchange server, so I don't have access to the "Set-DistributionGroup "Group Name" -HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled:$true

Is there a way I can import that command into powershell, or another option to hide a distribution group from the GAL by editing an AD attribute?

Thank you.

Hi Jason,

In AAD Connect Sync environment, to manage local AD Exchange attribute and sync it to Office 365, we need to have on-premise Exchange servers. After installing Exchange server, you will be able to edit Exchange attributes in local AD.

The Exchange Management Console, the Exchange Administration Center (EAC), and the Exchange Management Shell are the only supported tools that are available to manage Exchange recipients and objects. About other tools, such as ADSIEDIT, you can use them, but they are not supported. Moreover, manually extending AD schema in DirSync environment is not supported.
