Getting We received a bad request. When trying to sign in

I am writing a website and trying to use the Unified API for login and to get details about the user that signs - in, but when I sign in I keep receiving the same error:

Sign In
Sorry, but we’re having trouble signing you in.

We received a bad request.

What would be causing the issue?
