Disabling notifications in web portal

We upgraded our subscription from E1 to E3.  Every time I load the admin portal page, I get multiple notifications about my (intentionally) expired E1 subscription.  Despite clicking on these notifications, they persist.  This wouldn't be as annoying except for the "bong" sound every time that an admin page is loaded.

For my sanity, please tell me how I can make this stop!  A quick search of the forums indicates that many others have experienced this as far back as 2012.  Is there hope?

This is an expected behavior to notify administrator on important information.


There is no option for admin to control this, I would suggest you vote for this idea here: https://office365.uservoice.com/forums/273493-office-365-admin/suggestions/10882623-add-ability-to-opt-in-out-of-portal-notifications. Your feedback will be valuable.
