Setting Up Exchange Email on Iphone - Does Not Load login.microsoftonline.com

Split from this thread.

Hi,

was this every resolved?

I'm having exactly the same problem, but only on one of several iPhones I am setting up with Microsoft Exchange online.

After entering exchange email and description, I tap "Sign-In" and the next step (which should say "Enter password") is just blank.

The path it is trying to connect to shows at the top (login.microsoftonline.com) but the page is blank.

On all other iPhones I've set up the login mask is displayed correctly.

I have cleared Safari cache and history and restarted iPhone but this didn't help.

All iPhones are the same model and run the latest iOS.

Hi SteveHart56,

May I know you are also using iPhone default Mail App or Outlook for IOS?

If so, please try the following steps:

  1. Re-connect the network, like WIFI or cellular, turn it off first and then turn it on. If it doesn’t fix, change the different network.
  2. Reset the Network Settings on your iPhone (use this only if you remember WIFI ID and the password): Go to Settings->General->Reset ->Reset Network Settings.
  3. Remove the accounts (please note to skip this if you have important data, you may loss stored data related to account) and quit Mail App, restart the device, and re-add the account, to see if issue still persists.

Meanwhile, if you are using Outlook for IOS, update it if it is not the latest version, then try to restart the App and re-add the account to see if issue still persists.

Thanks,

Anna

Hi SteveHart56,

May I know what Mail App are you using, is it iPhone default Mail App, or Outlook for iOS. And have you tried the method above?

If the methods don't fix the issue, please try to configure the account manually after you input the email address and Description, see this article:

Set up email using the iOS Mail app.

Meanwhile, if possible, please try to add another Office365 account to the same device to see if other Office 365 accounts can be added on.

Thanks,

Anna

Thanks for your reply Anna, I appreciate it.

I'm using the latest iOS version and the native iOS mail app.
Following the instructions of the link you posted (which I already tried previously), I get to step 3, however when the phone attempts to load the password page of step 4, I only get a blank page.
This happens for several O365 email accounts on this device, however the same accounts (and step 4) work on another iPhone with the same iOS version installed.

Hi SteveHart56,

As several Office 365 accounts cannot be added on this devices, and your account can set up on other devices, I suggest you to try to use Outlook for iOS App, and set your exchange account on this App to see if the issue occurs on Outlook for iOS. About setting up account on Outlook for iOS, please view: Set up email in Outlook for iOS mobile app.

Thanks,

Anna

Hi SteveHart56,

Have you tried to add the account on Outlook for iOS, does the issue still persists on this App?

Thanks,

Anna
