1 domain, 1 account name shared with Gmail and Office 365, Dual Delivery?

Hi,

This is an interesting problem.  We currently are using Office 365 for our School.  We are also trying out Google for Education.  I have the domain wcss.org setup on both and the user accounts are setup with the same name.  What I would like to do is to send and receive email from either of these services. for example if I receive an email at *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, it will be delivered to both the Office 365 and the Gmail account.  I would like to send email from either account as well, so if I send oun email to *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, it will be delivered to both his Gmail and Office 365 account.  When mr.jones replies back, it goes to mr.smith@wcss Gmail and Office 365 accounts.  I believe Google calls this scheme Dual Delivery.  Any ideas how this can be setup?

Answer

Hello Martin,

Dual delivery is Google function so you need to contact them.

However, with dual delivery, users receive their mail messages in two inboxes, their legacy mail inbox and their Google Apps inbox. Incoming mail is delivered to a primary mail server, which processes and delivers each message, then forwards a copy to a secondary mail server which delivers it to the second inbox.

You can refer to the this article to check dual delivery set up and access Google Help forum.
