Change owner of a plan in Planner

Is there a way to change the owner of a project in planner?  It appears that only the owner can add users to the plan.  We had some plans where the creator is no longer with the company and we can't update the users.

Hi David,

From your description, I assume you are using the Microsoft Planner: Linking Plans to a Project task feature. It’s not possible to change owner. For your concern about this, we would suggest you vote this UserVoice: Transfer Admin / owner rights to make our products and services better for you and others.

You can follow the steps below to do so:

  1. Go to Office 365 admin center > admin centers> Exchange
  2. In the Exchange admin center > Recipients > groups > select the plan group > edit > ownership to change the owner of the group, this will also change the owner of the plan.

Thanks,

Rena
