How to fix "Error 1310.Error writing to file: Verify that you have access to that directory." in Microsoft Office 2013 plus installation?

Recently I bought microsoft office 2013 plus, but when I install it, "Error 1310.Error writing to file: File path. Verify that you have access to that directory." appears. I already tried to disable startup items and services, to rename the Config.msi folder, to change permissions for the parent folder referenced in the error message, to correct permissions from the Command Prompt, to reregister the Microsoft Windows Installer and the error still appears.

I would appreciate help.

Hi Gabriel,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Office Community.

I suggest you to run the fixit available in the link below which completely remove the Office 2013 traces from the computer.

Once done, restart the Computer in Clean Boot, re-download the Office 2013 setup file then right click on the setup file and click on ‘Run as administrator’.

Wait for a moment (do not double click on the setup file) as it might take a while to get the installing window.

Refer to the article mentioned below on to do Clean Boot:

Note: After you have finished troubleshooting in Clean Boot, ensure you restart the computer in normal mode.

If the issue still persists then create new admin user account for windows 8 Operating system then try to install Office 2013.

Refer to the article mentioned below on how to create new user account:
