Q: Event ID 7001 Source: Microsoft Office 12 sessions Stop error message. This thread is locked from future replies

ID: 6 Application Name: Microsoft Office Outlook Application Version: 12.0.4017.1006 Microsoft Office Version: 12.0.4017.1006. This session lasted seconds with seconds of active time. This session ended with a crash. I have repaired Office and re-installed office with no success. Then I created my account on another pc, copied the PST file, just so that I can access my e-mail, with the same result. Scanned PST with scanpst.exe. and still no resolve. I noticed that the same e-mail came in more then 6 times from the same person.

Answer

A:

Use the following command line switch for Outlook and check if it works fine:

Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run

Copy and paste the following command in the Open field and then press Enter

    Outlook /cleanviews

If the issue still persists then try to run Outlook in Clean-boot mode. Clean-boot disables all non-Microsoft services.

For information on how to perform a Clean-boot, refer to the following link:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: once the troubleshooting is done, ensure to enable the Normal Start-up

If Outlook works fine in Clean-boot then the security software integration with Outlook may cause this issue.
