Batch hyperlink image files in Excel Worksheet

I have a large number of business cards which I scanned and then put the information into Excel.

I would like to create a hyperlink in the worksheet that will open the relevant scan for that card.

I have columns for First Name and Last Name, and the image files are saved as FirstName LastName.jpg.

What do I need to do?

It's over 700 files, so I'd like to batch this as much as possible.

I am not very fluent in Excel, so please be patient with me.

Hello,

you can use the Hyperlink function for that.

=HYPERLINK("C:\data\downloads\"&A2&" "&B2&".png","click here")

... if the scans are in the folder "C:\data\downloads\", first name is in A2, last name in B2 and the files are in PNG format. Change to whatever file format you use.

Clicking the link opens the file in the default app for images.
