How to convert dd/mm/yyyy to mm/dd/yyyy?

Hello,

I have a file excel with value date: 25/11/1991 (dd/mm/yyyy). I want convert to 11/25/1991 (mm/dd/yyyy) but I can't convert.

I used office 2007. I'm used Ctrl+1 > Custom > type mm/dd/yyyy ---> don't work. And I change in Control panel >Region...>Custumize...>Date....But don't work.

Please, help me.

Thank you very much.

Hi,

If you know for sure that all entries in the column are incorrect I.e. all entries are of the type dd/mm/yyyy and you want to convert all of them to mm/dd/yyyy, then try this

Select the column of dates and go to Data > Text to columns > Delimited > Next > Uncheck all delimiters > Next > Date > DMY > Finish

If this does not work, then choose MDY.

Also, please note that before you start the conversion process, you must ensure that your system's date format is set to mm/dd/yyyy.  If this is not the case, then after the conversion, you will be left with just Text entries (not actual dates).

Hope this helps.
