Counting cells background colour has been altered by conditional formatting

I've tried various VBA modules, but none seem to work.

I need to count, or sum the number of cells in table column, that have a background colour this is the result of conditional formatting. The cells have a '2 colour fill effect' background colour, and I'm assuming this would not be a problem. For example you just use the 1st colour of the fill effect (I'm stabbing in the dark here).

But, even when I altered the conditional formatting to use a normal 'not fill effect' background colour - none of the macros worked.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

if the cell color is set by conditional formatting, there must be a formatting rule that does this. You can use the same rule logic to count or sum these cells. For example, if conditional formatting sets all cells with values greater than 10 to green and you want to count the number of green cells, then you can as well count the cells that are greater than 10 with =countif(A1:A100,">10")

If you need help converting the rules into formulas, just post what the rules are and we can help.
