How to change default chart legend text from "Total?"

I am creating a line chart using a single value set.  However, when only plotting a single set of values, it appears Excel forces the legend text to be "Total."  I guess this makes sense if there is truly only a single line.  But, I am also adding a Power Trendline.  I am able to change the legend text for the trendline (changed it to "Projected"), but I still can't change the Current/Actual line.  When I right-click for the data series options, all the buttons are grayed out.  And, changing the column title in the pivot table does not work either.  I'm using Excel 2010.

Also, does anyone know how to determine the values of a Power Trendline?  Using the series functionality only lets me do linear or growth, not power.
