What are reason that causes the file in use in Microsoft Office 2007. We have tried different machines and yet, we encounter problems in excel 2007 only "File in use" when opening a certain file with macro and without macro. What needs to be done to avoid
this from happening.
Normally you get this message if "Open" file association for XLS is set for DDE and there
is a %1 at the end Excel command line. This is viewed via Windows
Explorer->Tools->Folder Options->File Types, pick XLS and click Advanced.
If you have that you can unselect DDE.
You receive a message when you try to open an Excel 2007 document on a Windows Vista-based computer from a remote shared folder, even if no other user is using the document: "File in use" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942146
