Christine,
1. Contact your helpdesk so that they can tell you the solution. Ideally Excel migration team should have taken care of this issue.
OR
2. Reinstall the add-in from Quality Center.
OR
3. If you have the necessary rights and willing to get your hands dirty (and you have the same add-in) then see
http://update.external.hp.com/qualitycenter/qc100/msoffice/msexcel/QCMSExcelAddin.pdf
Extract from the guide (page 12)...
Additional Step after Upgrading Microsoft Excel
If you upgrade to a new version of Microsoft Excel after installing the
Quality Center Microsoft Excel Add-in, you must copy the
TDAddin folder
and the
TDExcelAddin.xla file from<drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office<old version #>\XLStart
to
<drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office<new version #>\XLStart.Examples:

If you upgraded Microsoft Excel 2007 to Microsoft Excel 2010, copy theTDAddin
folder and the TDExcelAddin.xla file from<drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office12\XLStart
to
<drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\XLStartReport abuse

Thank you for this information. I have now created a new folder (TDAddin) in Office14\XLSTART folder and copied across the two files in this folder (ExcelAddin.ini and QCMSExcelAddin.pdf) and then copied the file TDExcelAddin.xla and put that in the XLSTART folder. It now has the same structure in Office14 as it does in OFFICE11.
However after rebooting my machine and clicking on Export to Quality Center from Excel 2010, I am now experiencing the following error message
"A general error has occurred. Restart Microsoft Excel. 'Automation error Invalid access to memory location.'.
Can you please advise what this means.
Thank you

I am out of ideas...
QC version in your office may not be compatible with Excel 2010...
However you may try
1. Delete the TDAddin folder in Office12 folder and remove the TDExcelAddin.xla from Office12 XLSTART folder
OR
2. Remove the add-in from 2010 (using Options... menu) and reinstall.
Do you still have 2007? Try to export from there to make sure that problem is due to upgrade only.

For me, following Viren56's steps worked...that was today. Are you sure you unchecked the right checkbox?
This is going to sound a little cliche, but I'd suggest removing the Add-In then re-installing it again, i.e. when you run the installation file, the wizard will ask whether you want to Modify, Repair or Remove. Choose Remove (I tried Repair first but didn't do anything).
Once removed, run the installation file again and see how you go...remembering to uncheck that Trusted Center checkbox again.
I'm not sure if this is related, but I also installed the QC Explorer Add-In - not sure what it does, but hey at least I don't get that "Automation error Invalid access to memory location" message anymore :-)
