Yes, like I said, you can not have macros in a file saved with the .xlsx extention.  You have to save the file as .xlsm.   But this file has already had any code modules that contained macros stripped out.

You'll need to find a copy of the file with the macros still in.

Just to be clear, there are NO macros in your file, that is why you are seeing the error.

Find another copy of the file, either an office 2003 version (.xls) or office 2007 macro enabled (.xlsm).

As soon as you save a file that contains macros as .xlsx, the macros are gone.

To look for macros in a file, open the file and hit Alt+F11.  In the "Project" pane (top left) look for icons that are NOT Sheets and NOT called ThisWorkbook.   (There could also be macros stored in the Sheet or ThisWorkbook modules, but this would also have been removed when the file was saved as .xlsx).

Double click on one of these modules to view the code.

Or, double click on the ThisWorkbook module, then hit Ctrl+F.  Enter the name of your macro ("App") and select the option to search in the current project.

Happy hunting.

Cheers
Rich
