changing the color palette in Excel for Mac 2016

Hello,

I am working with a brand new installation of Microsoft Office 2016. I am finding that if I open a new document in Excel, the available palette for "Fill color" is quite different from Office 2011 for Mac. However, if I open an Excel sheet that was originally made using Excel 2011 for Mac, I see the old color palette available. How can I make the old color palette the default in Office 2016? See below for screenshots.

Thanks!

This is due to Excel 2016 using a different default Them which has a totally different set of Theme Colors... I have no idea why it was done.

In a native Excel 2016 file you can go to the Page Layout tab, click the Colors button & select the Office 2007 - 2010 set. You should find it to be what you're looking for.
