Grant file access for excel on Mac

I am getting grant file access errors when I try to open up any new excel file.  I have made sure I have the latest software but can't figure out how to fix it.

Hi

Apple requires that you keep your workbooks in specific locations. You should be able to avoid having to grant access if you store your workbooks on the desktop or in the Documents folder.

The location Apple really wants you to use is a hidden directory. Use Find's Go menu and choose Library. Then navigate to Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/User Content. That's Apple's idea of a secure place that is convenient for you to keep your files. It's called "Sandboxing"
