merge office 365 and live account

Hello,

I have two accounts that use the same email address and I would like to figure out how to merge into one. My Office 365 account uses these services: Outlook, Exchange, Lync, Sharepoint, etc. My Windows Live account uses these services: Skydrive, Office.com.

Anyway to merge these accounts together? I can move my files from my Live.com Skydrive into my Skydrive Pro, but I have a few Office 2013 licenses tied to my live account.

Thanks,
JLHD

Hello,

What exactly do you mean by ‘two accounts that use the same email addresses?

If you’re using the same email address then for both Windows 8 and Office 365 then it is not consider as two accounts.

Provide the detailed information on the issue you would like to achieve to assist you better.

Thank you.

One account is a Windows Live account and one is a Office 365 (E1) account.

The Windows Live account I use to log into Office.com and I have a number of Office 2013 Licenses associated with it.

Maybe merge was the wrong term, I'd like to associate the Office 2013 liceses with my Office 365 account instead of the Live account.

Hope that clarifies it.

Thanks.

I have this exact same question. I read the answer from Microsoft about changing billing options, but that's not the question.

I have data in my skydrive.live.com account, as well as my Skype profile connected to my live account. But I switched to Office 365, and now I want to "CLOSE" my windows live account, but not lose all my data stored in Skydrive, or my contacts in my Skype.

How can I achieve this. I agree with JLHD, we essentially want to "merge" the windows live account into the Office365 account. How do we do that?

I just solved this problem. You can go to  Outlook options -> your email accounts -> add a send-and-receive account which put your office 365 outlook account into it. For setting up POP and STMP, you can go to office 365 outlook setting to look it up. After done with adding account, you should able to use both accounts as one. Peace!

I am having the very same issue and customer support was unable to help. As MS originally hosted by email through Live, I opened a small business 365 account to update and I immediately lost email capability through Outlook, which is the far better option in my humble opinion. In addition, like the rest, I now appear to have an account for 365 University, with Onedrive, Apps, etc and a completely different account for Office 365 small business - the email addresses are the same, but passwords are different. I was told to make an alias; however you cannot with the same email address. Very frustrating when you're trying to follow suite with the proper way.

If anyone figures this out, I'd love to know and will buy you a beer!

Cheers!
