Authentication session has timed out, please sign in again.

Every time i try to sign into microsoft word it gives me the message

"Authentication session has timed out, please sign in again.". Searched online for solutions and so far have tried:

1. Resetting my keychain password
2. restarting my computer
3. deleting all office files in keychain access

4. Tried to delete microsoft user data but could not find it in my computer. 
5. making a new account, met again with the same message. 
6. Deleting all microsoft office 2016 apps and reinstalling. 

7. Updated all my microsoft apps, and my macbook pro 2015 system to sierra 10.13.2

please help! 

Sometimes problems with internet connections can be resolved by using a different DNS server from the one provided by your internet provider. Try this:

Otherwise, try to move to a location that has a better internet connection.
