Access 2007 Error "the search key was not found in any record"?

I have tried to import a text file into Access 2007 and keep getting this error "the search key was not found in any record"?  How do I resolve this??  I have made sure that the fields are all text, that there are no spaces in the column descriptions and I have even performed "compact and repair database" option in Access 2007 but nothing seems to work.  The text file is only 1299 characters wide which should not be a factor.  I also have access create the primary key.  Any and all suggestion are appreciated. R.

This is often a sign of corruption in your database. If Compact didn't help, I'd suggest creating a new database and importing everything EXCEPT this table.

Then I'd suggest creating a new table in design view with the fields needed for the data in the text file; you should then be able to link to - rather than import - the file, and run an Append query to populate the table.
