Hello Chris Torrez,

Thank you for posting to the Microsoft Community.

If your Office 365 account is temporarily locked, it usually means Microsoft has detected unusual activity or multiple failed sign-in attempts, and has locked the account to protect it from unauthorized access.
Here are the steps you can take to address this issue:

Wait for the Lockout Period to End: Sometimes, simply waiting for a certain period can resolve the issue. The lockout period can vary, but it's typically around 30 minutes to an hour.

Reset Your Password:

Go to the Microsoft password reset page.

Follow the instructions to verify your identity and reset your password.

Contact Your Admin:

If you are part of an organization, your account administrator can unlock your account for you.

Provide them with any necessary details about the lockout and any error messages you received.

Check for Account Security Issues:

If you suspect your account was locked due to suspicious activity, make sure to run a full security check.

Review your recent activity in your Microsoft account settings to ensure there is no unauthorized access.

Use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA):

Ensure that your account is set up with multi-factor authentication to enhance its security.

Follow your organization's guidelines or Microsoft's instructions to set this up if it isn't already.

Contact Microsoft Support:

If the above suggestions didn't work for you, you might also take advantage of having Office 365 as it will give you real-time and advanced technical assistance to solve this matter. The support engineers there have the correct escalation channel and required tools to analyze a critical issue similar to yours.
