Hi Sunitha Varadaraju,

You may check the time zone on your portal and SharePoint Online site to see if it is the same as the time zone on your PC. To check it:

In the Office 365 portal:

Log into Office 365 portal>Click the gear on the upper right corner>Language and time zone.

In the SharePoint Online site:

In the site where you edit a document, click the gear on the upper right corner>Site settings>Under Site Administration, click Regional settings.>Check the Time Zone.

In your PC:

Search for PC settings or settings>Go to Time and Language to check the time zone.

If that doesn’t help, please confirm the following information to help clarify the situation:

1.Check if the issue happens to newly created files.

2.Confirm whether you are editing a file from your SharePoint Online site or OneDrive for Business library.

3.Open the browser in private mode to check the outcome and change to another browser to see if the issue happens to the specific browser.

4.Open file from another SharePoint Online site to see the outcome.

Thanks,
Felix

Hi Shinu,

To narrow down the issue, please confirm the following information:

1.Confirm whether you could create a document using Word Online. To do that: Log into Office 365 portal>Click Word app in the app launcher to create a new document.

2.You may log into the SharePoint Online site on another PC to see the outcome.

3.Change to another network environment to check the outcome.

4.Share the detailed steps about how you reproduced the issue and the screenshots of the issue symptoms.

Moreover, I'd like to collect related logs via Private Message to see if we could find any clues from the network traffic.

Thanks,

It is not that the settings have to be the same, but the PC system date and time have to match up to the SharePoint server system date and time, allowing for time zone differences.

I sometimes have similar problems, I suddenly can't connect to the internet.  In my case, the problem is my system clock "wanders" off in to the future. When there is "too much" (sorry the limit varies on the recieving system) difference in my time and theirs they refuse to make the connection.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
