Word for Mac black screen bug

I'm running Office 365 for Mac and I can no longer open anything in Word. All I get is this;

The ribbon menus don't work properly; the close/minimise/maximise buttons don't show up but still work; the text just isn't there (I've tried doing copy/paste, highlighting, changing colours, etc.); all documents do it; PowerPoint/Outlook/Excel/OneNote are all working normally. Also,  I've just updated it and there's no improvement.

Anyone know what I need to do?

Answer

Thank you, it's completely working again. I had previously updated Office, but to no avail.

I opened it in safe mode and it worked, but there were no add-ins. However, updating OS X did the trick. And for all those future readers, don't spend half an hour going round-and-round on the Intel website wondering why you can only download .exe driver updates. You have to go to the App Store and update OS X entirely. The graphics card driver updates come as a part of that, and can't be found independently.
