Yes and the name of the font or at least some letters is displayed by its own shape in its language in front its name by English and here is a link to download Arabic fonts and test on word 2013 and that of 2016.:

We would like to ask some questions for better clarification and to know the best possible resolution to offer. Can you please tell us if the issue only happens on the fonts that you are downloading on the links you have provided? How about the default fonts that is part of Word 2013 and 2016, are they not showing the preview of how the font would look like? We would like to ask for a screenshot of what you are getting from your end.

We may agree that the easiest way to take , is that of the simplest way to reach; and from that point we may observe that in word 2016 you can identify the shape of any fonts upon taking a block of the word or words and scroll down the menu placing your cursor upon to view, but if you just open the menu to choose a certain font directly without this action, only the shape of letters in English fonts are displayed as Arial, Arial Black and so on  .... , so you can easily by just a look view several fonts from which you can decide to pick up, this is not available for other types of fonts in other languages, as an example Arabic language fonts, although this option is included in word 2013 and earlier versions. The Diwani Bent and Diwani Letter are two of hundreds or thousand fonts of Arabic language and you may agree that it is difficult to remember the names rather than pick a shape, so do you have a solution.

What you are looking for is not an available option to do with Office Word since the font was downloaded from a third party program developer or publisher, it would be best to contact them. The option you are looking for is a limitation of the program itself and would be best if you can give a feedback to the program developer or publisher.
