Will more new versions of Office continue to be released?

Recently, Office 365 was renamed Microsoft 365 and is mentioned on the website:As part of Microsoft 365 you will continue to get access to apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. We will also continue to offer one-time purchases of those apps to consumers and businesses via Office 2021 and Office LTSC plans.

Will the Office application continue to be available as a one-off Office product like Office 2021? Will there be a new product, Office 2023?

There will be a successor to Office 2021 - probably Office 2023.

But I don't know whether Microsoft will continue to release new one-time purchase versions after that. They probably will, but I'm not sure about that.

Hans, not sure about that: Microsoft Office 2021 - Wikipedia

PS:I have noted that pages dedicated to perpetual versions are being changed to Microsoft 365. One of these pages is particularly annoying at service & subscriptions https://account.microsoft.com/services Click on install>Need help installing Get help installing Office 2021, 2019, 2016, or 2013 - Microsoft Support Note they have even got it wrong with Microsoft 365 re transferring to another computer by stating you need to uninstall Microsoft 365 to transfer it to another computer:

Well this takes bit of understanding: Microsoft Office is changing to Microsoft 365
