I've been using Onedrive on the web recently as I don't have the full licence to Office 365 anymore, I logged in today to see a folder called "Dokuments". Assuming it was German, I had a look into it and it was empty. Therefore, I deleted it, checked any account activity or sign in attempts, etc and there was nothing. Around some time later I used Excel, took a break for a couple of hours, came back and continued as I was doing before, then when I go back into the Onedrive Home there's now another documents folder but in Arabic, specifically "المستندات" to which I believe translates to Documents? Again, I checked my security in case my account has been compromised but there's nothing. Is this just Onedrive acting up? I checked the timeline of when the folder was made, it was made when I had come back to working with Office 365 when I came back from the break. I'm just very confused, never had this problem before and I don't know why Onedrive is making a documents folder while also naming it in different languages? I don't have a specific Documents folder, just one I had created and names "My Documents". Once again, just very confused.
Why does my Onedrive make a new empty Documents folder in different languages?

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue with OneDrive. Let's work together to resolve this.
Can you confirm if you have any other devices linked to your OneDrive account? It's possible that the folders were created on another device and synced to your account.
Have you tried accessing your OneDrive account from a different browser or device to see if the issue persists?
What is the exact version name of your Microsoft 365? Is it the Microsoft 365 Fmaily/Personal or Business?
Lastly, I recommend checking your OneDrive settings to ensure that the language settings are set to your preferred language. Here's how you can do it:
1. Go to the OneDrive website and sign in to your account.
2. Click on the gear icon in the top right corner and select "Options".
3. Under the "Language" section, make sure that your preferred language is selected.
4. Click "Save" to apply the changes.
If the issue still persists, please let me know and we can explore other troubleshooting steps.
Sincerely,

I have the same problem and now have to google it to research it! I have a mysterious folder in Arabic - المستندات.
The folder is empty - and no, it was not created by me and it was not synced by any other device as I would not have known Arabic! What is happening???

Hi, I can tell you that this is not a language issue..... a folder appears in onedrive called "documents" but in various languages or fonts (mine is Spanish, but I have seen people complain of Korean or Chinese as well).
When I delete the folder, it comes back - anything from minutes to hours later.
Last week I didn't delete it, but renamed it to "bread". The folder stayed - and no new "documentos" folder was created.
I kept "bread" for several days and then deleted it.
Within 30 minutes "documentos" was back. Some entity wants the FOLDER there - never mind what name it has, it is the folder they want there.
I ran a Norton check - nothing. Friends have run various other antivirus checks and all are clear.
Changing my onedrive password has had no effect either - it reappears a few days later.
The only solutions I have found is to have a VERY strong (unhackable) password or create your own "documentos" folder. Whatever is doing this sees a documentos folder, thinks it created it and leaves me alone. I had my own documentos folder for two weeks and no new one.
My Internet research shows that the problem has been around for a few months - but Microsoft have yet to acknowledge and address it. Maybe you can light something under them.
Regards Mike

Have you figured out how to resolve this? I just signed up for O365 and my folder is called "Documentos" as well. Kinda annoying if there's no way to fix this. Bad first impression!
