Hi F.Jones2ask!

I'm Jen, and I'd be happy to help you out with this issue.

May I ask if you have two workbooks open with macros in each having the same name? Thanks.

Kind Regards,
Jen :)

If you have an addin or global template with some macros, the file name for the other files will be added before the macro names you are using from those files..

Hi,

The Marcos’ Name look like this:

‘Book1.xlsm’!Module1.Macro1

‘Book1.xlsm’!Module2.Macro2

In general, Macro1 and Macro2 are the macro names, aren’t they?

What’s wrong with it please?

Many thanks,

J.

Hi,

Someone created the Marco for me, and I copied and pasted to my workbook (I edited directly at Visual Basic Editor > Insert > Module), but the Marco Name looks like this:

‘Book1.xlsm’!Module1.Macro1

‘Book1.xlsm’!Module2.Macro2

What’s wrong with it please?

Many thanks,

J.

There is nothing "wrong". This is just excel's way of telling you where the macro code is hidden.

In your example, both macros are in a workbook called "Book1.XLSM"

The first macro is in a subdivision called "Module1"

The second macro is in a subdivision called "Module2"

.

You'll see the various places in your workbook that macros can be hidden (sheets/tabs and modules) in the macro editor
