The best way to find out location which doesn't require Ifs and buts is this
Start Excel > CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to invoke Task Manager > Right click on Excel in Processes tab > Open File Location > It will take you to the folder which has Excel.exe

Welcome to the Microsoft Community forums.
The root of the Office exe files are:
C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\MicrosoftOffice\root\Office16
This may be different depending on your system. I would not recommend changing anything within the Program Files or Windows Files as this may damage the program and or Windows.
