Visio Professional Stencils/Shapes missing

Hi I've been using Visio Professional frequently as of late and it's to my surprise today while I access visio and attempt to create my crow's foot diagram, the shapes are missing! The entity/relationships/attributes that usually appear on the left side panel is missing and I'm very new to visio and have no idea how to get them to reappear back on the left side. Here's a picture of what I'm looking at (e.g. 1 & 2). Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for taking your time in reading this.

Activate Shape's pane

View -> Task panes -> Shape

If like me you've activated the Shapes pane (View -> Task Panes -> Shapes) just double check that the pane hasn't somehow been moved outside or to another screen.

Today I discovered (by chance, without any other software open), that my Shapes pane had moved to the area outside of my secondary screen. The top of the pane was just visible from the bottom of the screen, and I was able to drag it back into Visio.

Note: I only saw it flash up when I had all other windows closed, turned off the Shapes pane and then turned it back on again - I could swear it wasn't there before.
