Vertical scroll bar on right hand side disappeared

Vertical scroll bar on right hand side that moves page up and down on Word 2010 new document disappeared. How do I get it back? (Using Windows 7)

Get into your Word 2010 options through File, Options. Select Advanced from the options listed on the right then scroll down to the Display section about halfway down.

You should find options for both Show horizontal scroll bar and Show vertical scroll bar within that section.

Remember to OK on the way out in order that you save your changes.
