vertical data bar

Hello there,

I'm trying to have a visual filling scenario on the spreadsheet. I have formated (merged and resized) several cells  so that they represent a liquid holding tank. I found that data bar in conditional formatting is an excellent visual for the liquid level in a tank when amounts change but the only thing is its changing horiazontally.whereas in my case I want it to change vertically (basicly go up and down as liquid level in a tank changes

does anyone have a solution how to change the orientation of a databar?

thanks for any help in advance

KK

The best way to have your data bar look vertical is by taking a copy of the range, and paste as picture link, and then rotate the picture 90 degrees to the left.

hello again all.

First of all:thanks to all of you for your replies:

Please see the file on the link. the minimum value is 0 maximum is 10000. I dont necesserily want to go by the charts since its going to a lot of them  but if they are small in size and easy to see for all 10 cells that would be fine.

It would've been so convenient of excel had an option to change data bar direction/orioentation.

All I want is,to make the "filling" (or , as in this case data bar) go up and down instead of left and rigtht.

Thanks for all your help again.

regards,

KK
