Uninstall OneDrive on Mac.

Hello:

I just tried to save an excel worksheet I created. Discovered that I cant save it on my hard drive because there seems to be a default to OneDrive. I am a single user and an totally uninterested in OneDrive. I have followed the instructions to no avail. I cant find the

  • com.microsoft.skydrive-mac file but did find and put in trash the
  • com.microsoft.SkyDriveLauncher file.  ( cant seem to unbold this text).
  • I still cant seem to save my worksheet to my hard drive.
  • Help me please.
Hello ,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Support.
I am a Microsoft advisor here to help.
I'm terribly sorry to hear this.
If you open "finder" you should see a folder call "OneDrive"
on this folder it should be the spreadsheet you just made. Another form to find in his to go to https://onedrive.live.com and search the spreadsheet. Just type the name of it. This method applies for searching it on your Mac as well.

I understand, you wish to uninstall OneDrive from your Mac, please follow these steps:

Remove the app by following these steps:
Open the Applications folder.
Drag the blue OneDrive cloud to the trash.
Enter your Mac credentials.
Click OK.

Remove the additional OneDrive files: (this is optional) ( another form is to use a third party app of your choice to do this task)
Press Apple (COMMAND) + SHIFT+ G in finder, or use Terminal.
Go to /Users/<name>/Library/Containers
Find the 2 folders
com.microsoft.skydrive-mac
com.microsoft.SkyDriveLauncher
Drag them to the trash.

Remove the locally stored OneDrive folder:
If you installed with the default settings, there will be the OneDrive folder under your name.
Drag it to the trash.

I did drag OneDrive application and the SkyDrive Launcher to the trash. The other SkyDrive file wasn't on my computer. The excel worksheet is open because I cant save it. You see, that's the problem. It is also not in onedrivelive.com. If I try "save as" or "save" nothing happens. I don't want to reboot because I will lose my worksheet-in-progress.

Finally I did save it to OneDrive.com and it doesn't seem to be there.

Thanks,
it is very odd.
perhaps we can try this:
Can you try and copy your spreadsheet on Excel Online?
https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkID=74666...

it will be saved on OneDrive so you can check it OneDrive online.

now, you can restart if you want to.

Another option I can offer you is to escalate you to one of my partners so you can be better assisted.
