Trouble with uploading folders to OneDrive for Business

I'm having some trouble across multiple workstations with uploading folders via the drag and drop method in the OneDrive for Business web app. Dragging from explorer to the onedrive you can see the site respond like it's ready to start uploading but when you let go to start it, nothing happens.

Right now it is working fine for me in Google Chrome and Edge but fails in Internet Explorer. We have a number of users on Windows 7 where it doesn't work for Chrome or IE.

Any thoughts why this would be happening?

It is not feasible to upload folders in OneDrive for Business on Internet Explorer.

Given the situation, we suggest you vote for your requirement to UserVoice, which will help better our products and services.

Regarding folder uploading performance within Internet Explorer


As a workaround, I suggest you try the feature “View in File Explorer” on Internet Explorer:

1. Sign into OneDrive for Business.

2. Click View button as below:

3. Select View in File Explorer.

4. Then you can drag and drop folder to OneDrive for Business.

Note: The feature is supported on Internet Explorer.
