Trouble Activating Copilot in Word

So I'm on the Monthly Enterprise Channel for Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise and I'm trying to activate Copilot in Word. I've tried installing the Windows Update preview for Windows 11 23H2, I've tried some registry settings recommended, looked under File > Options > Proofing and I can't find out how to activate this feature.

Can someone give me an answer on how to do it?

Thanks,

David

There are two facts you need to know.

According to Microsoft 365 Copilot Service Description, "Microsoft 365 Copilot is an add-on plan that requires a Microsoft 365 E3 or E5 license."

According to Anouncing Microsoft 365 Copilot general availability, "Microsoft 365 Copilot will be generally available for enterprise customers for $30 per user per month on

November 1."

Having an ordinary Microsoft 365 Enterprise subscription does not enable you to use Copilot, unless Microsoft changes the requirements.

Thanks. We do have E3 and E5 licenses, but we are under that "magic" 300 number (stupid move Microsoft!). I guess that means we wait. I was thinking there was a version that was available now for individual office apps and the whole enterprise/tenant licensing was coming.
