Dear TN819,

We are glad to help you and we may need more information for troubleshooting.

We have encountered some users reporting the issue in Office for Mac after upgrading the operating system to Sonoma 14.4.1.

The issue may be a compatibility issue between the new version of the operating system and Office for Mac.

I'm afraid that the issue needs to be fixed by the related team directly.

Based on the category you post the thread, you should be using a Microsoft 365 Education subscription. If you aren't the administrator, I suggest you contact the administrator in your school and let him follow the steps in Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn to open a support ticket to the related team as soon as possible.

About admin roles in the Microsoft 365 admin center - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn

How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support

The administrator should be able to open the support ticket from Help & support in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

Then you can select the Phone support or the Email support as follows. The related team may have more resources to further investigate the issue and provide the latest updates of the issue for you and then help you fix the issue in your environment as soon as possible.

Thanks for your effort and hope that the issue can be soon fixed by the related team.

Sincerely

Hi

There is an add-in or macro running that is causing the crash. Do you use Adobe Acrobat? If yes, you should install Acrobat updates.

Be sure to include the version number and OS version when asking your question.

That is false. The crash report clearly states:

Blame Module Name: Visual Basic for Applications

This tells you that the problem is a macro or an add-in. This is not the fault of Microsoft Word and the Word team does not need to be involved to fix the problem. All that needs to be done is to identify the add or macro and stop it from trying to run.

Be sure to include the version number and OS version when asking your question.
